As the tulip season winds down, memories of my first visit to Keukenhof resurface with a gentle warmth. Surrounded by endless fields of blossoms, I was captivated by the diverse colors and shapes, each tulip a unique marvel of nature.
I chuckle as I recall the brief moment of panic when I momentarily lost sight of my daughter amidst the bustling crowds, only to discover her sitting comfortably inside a giant wooden Dutch shoe (a “klomp”), her innocence a delightful reminder of life's simple joys.
In creating this image, I aimed to capture the essence of farewell and renewal that accompanies the end of tulip season. Like savoring a piece of rich chocolate cake, it's a quiet celebration of transitions and the beauty found in both beginnings and endings—a gentle nod to the cyclical nature of life's moments.
